US CARRARESE (anni ’60)

In the pennants of the Carrarese there is a coat of arms similar to the municipal insignia, that is a wheel bearing the motto “Fortitudo mea in rota” that is “my luck is in the wheel”. This symbol testifies to the true cult reserved by people of Carrara to the wheel and it is also demonstrated by the fact that it was placed as the main architectural motif of the facade of the city Cathedral. In the sixties the Carrarese pennants were made in a version embroidered by a well-known florentine company on a blue background with a yellow central emblem consisting of a wheel. For years, the inscription P. Binelli also appeared on the pennants of the Carrarese, next to the name. This was a way of remembering Pietrino Binelli, a young player from Carrarese who died following a game clash in 1930.
